This would be perfect for the office, dinner on the pier or a walk along the boardwalk. The fashion runways are showing nudes, creams, khakis and whites. Evan-Picone was formed in 1949 as a partnership between Charles Evans and Joseph Picone. Their first product was a fly-front skirt designed by Evans and produced at Picones shop. Their skirts were a success, and they added ladies pants as well. By the 1960s they were a major manufacturer of sportswear. VFG Label Resouce, courtesy of fuzzylizzie.com. It features a boxy little loose fitting jacket with vents on the sides. It has a darted bust and white buttons fastening the front. The sleeves are rolled up and the belt is threaded through belt loops at the side and each end of the belt buttons onto one of the front buttons. The jacket could be worn with or without the belt and worn open with a tank top underneath. The fabric is a dacron polyester and cotton. The skirt has a waistband and zips and hooks on the side. It is lined but the jacket is not. The back of the jacket has a slightly gathered yoke. Perfect detailing, the back kickpleat has an embrodered arrow at the top. MEASUREMENTS: Size: Vintage Size 12. Jacket: Bust: 39. Length from Shoulder to Hem: 21 inches. Sleeve Length from top : 16 inches(cuffed). Shoulder Width Back Seam to Seam: 16 inches. Skirt: Waist: 27 1/2 inches. Hips: 38 inches. Length from Waist to Hem: 22 3/4 inches. Condition: The condition is Very Good with no rips or tears. There is a small rust stain on side front of waistband (see pic below) which will not be seen when the jacket is worn or under a belt. There WAS a small yellowish stain on front of skirt which you may can see in the pictures. With the material being a dacron polyester and cotton, we just rinsed it under cold water and it came out nicely.
